Nov 14th Bad Day
One Saturday morning on March 31st I got up and was wondering what my sister, mom and me were going to do today. She told my sister and I that we were going to work at the inn. My sister and I didn't want to work so we started calling all of our friends to see if we could hang out with them for the day. All my friends were busy doing stuff so I had no choice but to go work with mom. But my sister got a hold of some one and she got to go to the movies well I get stuck working at the inn with my mom. Mom said “damon i really need your help with the wedding for today Well right then I thought the day cant get any worse my sister gets to go to the beach well Im stuck working but I had no choice. My mom knew that I didn't want to work so she was doing what ever she could to make me happy so we went to dunking donuts to get a hot chocolate. We both got our drinks and I went to get a sip and right there they didn't put the cover on it and then I burnt my tough. Right there I knew that I was having a bad day.
Once me and my mom got to work we had noticed that they were way behind and the wedding party wasn't happy. I thought well the day cant get any worse so I should try to make the best of it. The bride and groom were happy with there dinner and all's they wanted to do was dance. And once they wanted to dance then you know what that means Its time to start busing tables. Me and my mom didn't feel like busing tables so we thought that we would just clean up the outside. So we hopped on the golf cart and went to the tent we picked up all the stuff from the tent and then went down to the water to pick up chair covers. We got down by the chair covers and we started to pick them up. Well after our arms got full then we noticed that we had forgotten the bags to put them in. Mom said that they would be fine as long as someone held on to them so we picked them all up and put them on the back. My gram called my mom and told us that we need to hurry up because they needed help so then mom started going fast and we hit a bump and I fell off in pain my hole body fell on top of my arm and my arm was resting over a pot hole right then I heard in instant SNAP!!!!!!. I got and saw my bone sticking out of my arm so my mom picked my up and brought me back up to the inn. We got back and I saw my gram walking out with a pillow and a ice pack and told me to get in the car. I got in the car and we went to winter-port hospital.
We waited in the waiting room for a few minutes and then they took me in and asked me what my pain was from a level from 1 to 10 and I told her 10. One of there doctors or othorpetic surgeons came in And he said that they didn't have there surgeon in right at the moment so there were going to put a temporary cast on my arm until we got to Eastern maine medical center. They wanted me to ride in the ambulance but me and my mom didn't want to because we wanted to be together and we didn't have anyone else to drive the car home. We made it to the hospital for the second time After waiting in the waiting room for just about 13 hours I meet my surgeon I didn't know that I really trusted him but mom said it would be ok. The thing that scared me the most was that he had piercing all over him and his rob thing had skulls all over it. He had talked to my mom and told her when the surgery was I thought that I was have surgery that night but really I was going to have surgery at 6 in the morning. So then my gram showed up and I was hungry but I couldn't have any food because they thought that they were going to have surgery that night but cents it was in the morning I finally got to eat. Two rods, Three pins and nasty hospital food I was ready to go home. I had a full cast on for 4 months and then they took it off along with the pins and rod Then i got a new cast that was waterproof and it only went up to my elbow. 5 months later i had a hole new arm. I remembered this because of all of the trauma and also because the inn was a very important place to me because i worked there all summer long. I Learned that it is Ok to make a second trip if it is necessary....
